Satisfied intellectually, creatively, emotionally and spiritually I can happily recommend this book as a long term investment for Creative Art Therapists. -- JIDCAT An impressive array of historical, clinical, theoretical and educational papers by the two living pioneers And over three dozen practitioners who have developed this form in various settings and communities throughout the world. -- Body, Movement and Dance in Psychotherapy My experience of this collection of essays is that many of the chapters stand on their own as entirely fascinating, expanding and enriching of insights, perspectives and accounts of highly creative work being done by skilled and adaptable practitioners. -- British Psychodrama and Sociodrama Journal Patrizia Pallaro has compiled a collection of must-read works from contemporary authors and practitio
I like the fact that the protagonists are college students--very few writers seem to tap into that stage of life. I have also read Michael Bliss’ books on The Discovery of Insulin and Banting, both informative and very readable.. The book apparently is supposed to be a calorie/carb/protein counter. I've read this book 8 times and every time I come away with something new. (Except, the author promises twice to get back to telling about the Alexander polynomial but he never does) (And that last thing reminds me: The book has no index!!!)
So, my advise is: read the contents pages and go learn the theory from elsewhere.. Again a very useful chapter, but lacking in depth. A lot of the novels dialog contains pharses and terms native to the location and adds a sence of realness and escape to what we are use to as English in the US. GREAT BOOK!!!!!. This book is also an excellent springboard for discussions about the appreciation of different people, animals, places, things and idea
