Whether or not one buys the theory on the strength of this book alone is beside the point. Despite this book being a bit on the preachy side I did enjoy it. But for those who want to picture particular subjects, they may feel kinda not enough.. Really great book with a lot of different authors and perspectives!. Navy - in fact, I had a roommate for six months or so that was a black male, but we maybe spoke a hundred words during that time. Ironically, the very organization and power that had created the modern American West was under attack from those who had so benefited from it.
Worster notes that the dominant myth of the West needs to be replaced with a more realistic understanding.
