Editorial : About the AuthorEllen Miles loves dogs, which is why she has a great time writing Puppy Place books. And guess what? She loves cats, too! That's why she came up with a brand-new series called Kitty Corner. Ellen lives in Vermont and loves to be outdoors every day, walking, biking, skiing, or swimming, depending on the season. She also loves to read, cook, explore her beautiful state, play with dogs, and hang out with friends and family. Visit her web site at EllenMiles.

Clearly written and understandable by the parent that is trying to cope with what is happening with their child. It *is* rushed, mainly because the entire story happens in a matter of a few days. This is the first book I read by this author and absolutely loved it. I write a loose outline before I start any book, but I often find I've gone perpendicular to it at one point or another. These real life characters jump off the page. The importance of 'Rivers' lies in its singular, alternative perspective that, when combined with others, reconstructs a more complete story of the West. This is a good book and the research behind it is impressive (both authors are professors of finance or economics). This allowed us to discuss the importance of remembering those in need and who the people are who stand outside stores this time of year. It's a good purchase for new moms who can appreciate humor. Surprising, stirring and spellbinding perfection. I am in awe of this creative ingenious author!
