This book covers a LOT of ground regarding insects. It's good to have the experts to rely on when there is pushback. It is the only book on brain function that I could not put down until completed. In the meantime, get this book if you are starting to wonder where your memory went. The books offers some good help for compositional issues, gives you hints and new perspectives on how to achieve different styles and textures in serial music.
But in my opinion, the author shows a too limited view on what is the "right" musical result and what is not. Dina replied that books under $30 were typically paperbacks; that she and Wendy wanted their book to be a durable hardback book with quality, acid-free paper that would last a lifetime.
