This isn't a five-star book. It further argues for informative report card comments rather than just a grade. Certainly, my 5-1/2 year old son delights in calling out some of the phrases, again and again. Finally there is a book which deals with the topic. We do live in a western culture and must strive for wholeness consistent with that. While Ryan came across sometimes as cocky and spoiled, Sam would have made the whole book worth reading on his own. The characters are well rounded and amusing and the plot keeps you guessing as to the true identity of the dragon. The title The Coolest Race on Earth: Mud, Madmen, Glaciers, and Grannies at the Antarctica Marathon was intriguing to me. It wasn't until I discovered "eating clean" that I truly looked and felt my best! "Fabulous Over 40" teaches you the science of nutrition and makes eating clean easy.
