From the team that brought us Really, Really, Really Big Questions and Really, Really Big Questions About Space and Time, comes another book that answers Really, Really Big Questions about Religion and Faith. An unusual and fun introduction to the philosophy, ethics and meaning behind different kinds of belief. It explores tricky, strange and often unanswered questions such as Do miracles really happen? What do gods look like? Do all religions have a rule book? and How do things become sacred? Expand your spiritual knowledge!
Editorial : “This book addresses a number of thought-provoking questions and offers several paragraphs of commentary for each one. There are no definitive answers here. Baggini encourages youngsters to think about questions such as "Can we prove God exists?" and "Why would God allow evil?" and to develop their own ideas and critical-thinking abilities. The bright, modernist cartoon illustrations lighten the heavy subject and provide humorous asides throughout. This is an excellent title for sparking conversation and inspiring personal philosophizing.” School Library Journal
Mark Bennett is an English guru on Boxsters and Caymans and he gets the balance right on fixing the things I've sometimes done myself (like rotors and pads, heat shields) and the more complicated jobs. The pictures are clear and the book is very educational.. Book in great condition. I enjoyed reading the book.. The world is kind of topsy-turvy in this story, which appeals to children. Worked very well for opera workshop. This book isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
I'd love to meet the author, though, if only to learn how he duped everyone into thinking that this was a useful text.. I'm not sure that's what Corrigan meant, but it's one of many instructions I take away from this educational, if somewhat dated, volume.
--Alyssa A. Rarely opened this book and relied on the Lonely Planet guide most of the time. Bravo! They close the book by taking you through the latest theories regarding the impact of liquidity on corporate governance.
